Thank you for following up!

I don't know about Glims, but the easiest way to temporarily remove it is likely to set aside this file:  /Library/ScriptingAdditions/Glims.osax/Contents/MacOS/GlimsOSAX. Or maybe it comes with an uninstaller of its own.
