Hi Dawit, I'm very happy to hear from you on this issue!

I share your hopes for the independent releases; the latest released 
version of QtWebKit (in the context of desktop browsing) is rickety at 
best, and there have been countless improvements since Qt 4.7 that are 
just sitting on trunk gathering dust right now.

This question is still pending a proper answer. We're currently in the 
process of deciding what to do for Qt 4.8. Personally I am all for the 
time-based releases we originally announced 1 year ago.

It's regrettable that we're hanging the open-source QtWebKit community 
out to dry, given the amount of feedback we're already getting, not to 
mention the potential [cross-platform] feedback/QA we could be tapping 
into by simply releasing the software that we're making(!)
