Posted a patch to https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59159 to resolve the issue in Chromium.  I haven't been able to reproduce bad behavior on the mac, but I'm not sure if this is due to bad timing or a lack of understanding of the CoreAnimation runloop update stuff.
