It is not the presence of the Apple-style-span class that Outlook has trouble
with (and removing the special class name is the only thing that *this* bug
covers), but the fact that the content is styled with the css font-family
property. Mail on Leopard and Mail on 10.4.11+ should use legacy tags to style
text, <b>, <i>, <font>, etc.  What version of Tiger are you running?
