mdimport and mds are the components behind Spotlight, which is not part of
WebKit.  If their resource utilisation is impacting the performance of your
system you should file a bug report with Apple at
<http://bugreporter.apple.com/>.

I'm closing this bug as invalid as it seems very unlikely to be specific to
WebKit based on your description.
