Summary: Flash content changes suddenly, when covered by HTML
                    content with a mouse-over effect.
           Product: WebKit
           Version: 418.x
          Platform: Macintosh PowerPC
               URL: http://www.warnermusic.ca
        OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Layout and Rendering
        AssignedTo: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
        ReportedBy: mac at jamesthoburn.com

If you visit the Warner Music home page in Safari and use the "Artist" menu
near the top, you'll notice that the title of the main feature suddenly appears
above the menu when you mouse over it. This behaviour is unexpected and does
not occur in other browsers (Firefox 2 and IE 7).

Here's an example of what it should look like (in Firefox):

Here's an example of what it looks like in Safari:
http://www.clients.jimthoburn.com/files/images/apple/safari/bug_report_20070202/safari.png

Steps to reproduce:
1) Visit: http://www.warnermusic.ca
2) Click on the "Artists" pull-down menu near the top-middle of the screen.
3) Mouse over the options in the menu near the top.

Special notes about this page:
- We're using the "sIFR" flash replacement technique to create the Flash
content in question.
- The pull-down menu effect is created using CSS, with a JavaScript trigger
(onclick event).
- The menu items are unordered list items, styled with CSS. The roll-over
effect is created with CSS.
- The menu has PNG image positioned underneath it with CSS, with transparency
(to create the drop-shadow effect).

If you'd like, I can create several simplified versions of this page to help
narrow down the cause of the bug. Just send me an email (jim.thoburn at wmg.com or
mac at jamesthoburn.com).

Thanks for listening (and for the gorgeous browser),
-Jim
