I believe this is by design.  You can paste the link URL by using Edit -> Paste
& Match Style.  If you think this behaviour is incorrect or inappropriate, I
would encourage you to file a bug report at http://bugreporter.apple.com/ as it
is likely the pasting end rather than the copying end that should be adjusted.
