WebKit Team Lead

Position Summary

Next Generation Mobile Platforms. The Smartphone and other mobile devices are emerging as versatile platforms for a new generation of consumer-oriented applications. Samsung's San Jose Advanced Technology Lab Lab (ATL) is researching core software technologies that leverage the capabilities of future mobile devices. To help build the next generation mobile platform, ATL is seeking candidates with a keen interest in modern browser architectures and expertise in mobile software and hardware.  

Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide technical and managerial leadership for the establishment of a highly skilled team focused on WebKit development
* Contribute to the future development of WebKit for Samsung devices
Background and Experience Required
* Prior experience forming and leading software development teams engaged in the development ofbrowser software for mobile devices
* Expertise in C, C++
* Excellent knowledge of the WebKit codebase.
* Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work with an international team to deliver rapid prototypes.
*  Active contributor to WebKit (reviewer/committer).
* MS in Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering; PhD preferred

Skills & Attributes
Experience with three or more of the following:
* WebCore architecture
* HTML page loading, parsing, rendering
* JavaScript engines
*  2D graphics libraries
* OpenGL and/or WebGL
* OpenCL
* Browser security
* Multi-threaded browsers
* Multi-process browsers
