As I already wrote a few months ago, there are quite a few Linux users
in Randall's agency so don't underestimate the interest in this feature
even though not too many dare to write about this demand here.

Are you sure you have to implement it in glib-networking? OpenSC should
provide everything you need, you just need the PKCS11 support, which
according to your bugtracker entry, was already there...
