	MD5SUM: b2bfcbc4bbf1d0a51f848cb54c21ee66

This is our first branching for a stable release that we plan to keep
supporting for a longer period (currently 6 months expected), after our
experiment with the 1.1.15 series. This release is set to go along with
GNOME 2.30.

Overview of changes from 1.1.15:
================================

 - GObject Introspection support has been integrated;
 - Many fixes to input methods, and keyboard events handling;
 - The usual amount of accessibility work;
 - Content-Encoding support, thanks to improvements made to libsoup,
   making WebKitGTK+ able to render sites that send gzip regardless
   of what the browser advertises as supported;
 - Support for the page cache;

 - Loads of fixes and improvements to the HTML5 media player, including
   better integration with the underlying network stack, allowing it to
   work properly on well-known sites such as Vimeo, and Youtube;
 - Improved security support through many new settings that enforce
   more strict policies, such as cookie handling, and security domains
   for file:// URIs;
 - Many improvements to the plugins support, including windowless mode
   support, and Java plugin support;
 - Fast mobile scrolling by wiring up the cross-platform tiled backing
   store that was written for WebCore;
 - Spatial navigation support

 - Geolocation support, along with policy decisions API, using the
   GeoClue service;

What is WebKitGTK+:
===================

WebKitGTK+ is the GTK+ port of the WebKit web browser engine. Offering
WebKit's full functionality through a set of GObject-based APIs, it is
suitable for projects in need of any kind of web functionality, from a
bit of HTML/CSS in your UI to a full-fledged web browser.
