Well, the more recent, the merrier. 2.8.5 is around 1 year old and is
shipped with Ubuntu 11.10.

Personally, I don't mind it very much as I normally use more bleeding
edge stuff, but I wonder if it's too recent for some people. Do you know
of any features in 2.8.4 or 2.8.5 that are useful for us?
