Mavericks bots are substantially less reliable at this point, so this will degrade EWS performance. E.g. Mavericks WK2 Release was completely dysfunctional for two days recently for unclear reasons.

As everyone is supposed to run tests locally before uploading patches - and most people with Macs hopefully do this on Mavericks - it is helpful that EWS tests a different version of the OS.
