Even if no logo is "official", being consistent across the WebKit sites (,
shirts, etc) seems like a good goal. That said, this certainly isn't an
emergency. Maybe we should just hold off until the meeting and discuss this
there?
(And if any kind souls would like to make a proposal or two in time for the
meeting, I'm sure that would help the process.)

Agreed. (That's what I was trying to say.) Except that the nightly source
would probably use a more generic icon since it's not tied to any particular
"launcher".
