Thank you, it's been very helpful.

I check them up, it turned out that the ICU in my root filesystem is
not properly built. The strange thing is I didn't see any error
message as claimed in the bug report either. Based on the approach at
http://cataclysm.cx/git/cgit.cgi?url=aros/icu/tree/BUILD.AROS about
how to cross compile ICU as static library, I described how I cross
compile it as shared library at http://www.yuan.se/?p=1  After that,
the text box in WebKit is working fine.
