See the attached testcase. The url value in CSS variable is incorrectly escaped.
Chrome has the same issue which I reported in <a href="https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=661007">https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=661007</a>
Firefox behaves as expected.</pre>
