Good investigation, but this isn't quite correct. Backface visibility needs to be computed relative to the ancestor most non-preserve3D layer (the spec at <a href="https://drafts.csswg.org/css-transforms/">https://drafts.csswg.org/css-transforms/</a> talks about this in terms of &quot;3d rendering contexts&quot;).

For testing I think we have a way to do printing tests (see LayoutTests/printing).</pre>
