This is another case for <a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_NEW "
title="NEW - Resetting CSS properties on the <math> element"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=156839">bug 156839</a>: I think we should follow Gecko here and reset font-style on the <math> tag.
Jacques Distler reported the following issue on the instiki Sandbox: "In Theorem 2, the absolute-value signs are slanted. I assume this is because the <math> has inherited the italics style of the surrounding text. But this looks wrong.". Actually the whole text is slanted but most noticeable with the absolute value signs. See the attachment.</pre>
