<pre>Unfortunately there is no facility for undo/redo of model/UI changes in the frontend currently. The undo-redo shortcuts go directly to DOMAgent.{undo,redo} which only lets you perform and undo things that are subclasses of InspectorHistory::Action. This is generally just DOM and stylesheet changes.
We either need to add stub InspectorHistory::Action that delegate to the frontend to perform/undo, or the frontend needs its own undo stack, where some of the actions call out to the backend to perform their work. I think the latter is preferable, since the backend would not be able to merge duplicate stub actions created by the frontend. Having a separate action system in the frontend would be useful for other reasons, like getting a trace of user actions.</pre>
