<pre>The current protocol errs on the side of fairness by having the slow path release the lock while the queue lock is held. This reduces barging opportunities.
We should consider other futex-based protocols. For example, it might be interesting to see how Linux's pthread_mutex_lock algorithm would work in WTF::Lock.</pre>
