<pre>I've had to do the same proxy workaround for video snapshot features but a single frame on a reverse proxy is much different than streaming through it. It won't scale and makes a CDN pointless. It is not a production ready solution.
The only solution is to add the crossOrigin property on the video tag and while you are at it on the text tracks also.
