<pre>I tried this out today. It is impressive; you will fool most users into thinking it's a real GtkScrollbar.
The patch would be better with ScrollAnimator tests, but since there's no infrastructure to test those currently, I don't want to block on that.
There is just one issue I see that I think needs fixed. If you mouse over the scrollbar, then move your mouse outside the window to the right, the scrollbar track stays visible forever. It should instead disappear as soon as the mouse is moved outside the window. (Could it be related to <a class="bz_bug_link
