        <pre>As of this writing, Safari on Yosemite produces `&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;` instead of `&lt;br&gt;` (which is the behavior of the other browsers.

Is this expected? Is there any chance of this being fixed soon?</pre>
