This only happens on webkit based browsers such as Safari and Orion.

On youtube.com when watching a video, on chromium or firefox browsers pressing the arrows the videos will jump instantly without playback lag. Same goes for when switching playback speeds, this isn't the case on webkit based browsers. There is a slight delay which becomes very very annoying. A simple A-B test should reveal this.
