            Bug ID: 280583
Summary: [Cocoa] Initial support for HDR images
           Product: WebKit
           Version: WebKit Nightly Build
          Hardware: Unspecified
                OS: Unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Images
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: sabouhallawa at apple.com
                CC: sabouhallawa at apple.com

Cocoa frameworks have added support for HDR images in macOS Sequoia and in iOs 18.0. WebKit needs to adopt this support. As an initial step, it will be added an internal feature which is disabled by default. All the layers will be HDR layers once the feature is turned on. This will be fixed later to allow coexisting SDR and HDR layers. The layer HDR capabilities should be turned on only when there is an HDR image displayed on this layer but this should be fixed later.
