What version of iOS specifically?

There were various issues fixed in iOS 17.5 in Web.app (the native app that actually runs web apps); those fixes are in that app's codebase and not within WebKit.

There was also another issue fixed in WebKit in iOS 17.6 where push subscriptions could get deleted if a push was sent while the device was powered off (see https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=272865).
