Screenshot of MiniBrowser w/ inspector, and composition borders enabled

A quick trip to the inspector shows that the black line seems to be at
the same location as the top border of the “div.ytp-gradient-bottom”
element. It coincides with its composition top border as well, when
enabling composition borders. See the attached image for a screenshot.
