@Christopher Hunt, can you tell me which version of Safari you are using?

Trying https://sse.dev/testpage.html on iOS 18.2 beta, it seems to work fine for me.
I can see a request being reissued and a 200 response with text/event-stream mime type being received.

Can you try iOS 18.2 beta?
And/or reproduce and provide me a sysdiagnose (youenn at apple.com) with the precise timestamp where you would expect the reconnection.
