Bug ID: 271951
Summary: Web Inspector: Debugger gets stuck after
command-clicking on canvas element
Product: WebKit
Version: Safari 17
Hardware: Mac (Apple Silicon)
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: Web Inspector
Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
Reporter: opendarwin at lapcatsoftware.com
CC: inspector-bugzilla-changes at group.apple.com

Screen recording
Safari 17.4.1 (18618.1.15.111.8, 18618) and Safari Technology Preview 191 (Safari 17.4, WebKit 18619.1.6.3) on macOS 13.6.6 (22G630)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open https://www.justtherecipe.com
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page
3. Open the Safari web inspector
4. Create a breakpoint for the "click" event
5. Command-click on Privacy Policy
The debugger gets stuck. I can type characters in the console, but I can't press return. And many of the buttons in the web inspector don't work, such as step over and step into. Also, the web page goes blank. See the attached screen recording.
The website renders all of the controls at the bottom in an HTML <canvas> element.
