Thank you for the report. I'm not quite sure where the bug is, this seems like an edge case to me (but I'm not familiar with FontFace API).

- This test doesn't work for me in any browser as is, when loaded as a file in macOS Safari, because it cannot load from "/FairfaxHD.ttf", so I needed to remove the slash. 

- Then it works in Firefox, but not in Safari or Chrome.

- But that seems to be expected, because the name of the font face is "FairfaxHD" with quote marks, not FairfaxHD.

- When I remove the quote marks, it works in all browsers.

So I don't see any WebKit-only bug here, and maybe there is a Firefox bug where it ignores the name. Could you please elaborate on why you expect this to work with the quote marks?
