                    empty search bar
           Product: WebKit
           Version: Safari 17
          Hardware: Mac (Intel)
                OS: macOS 13
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Page Loading
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org

Recording demonstrating the bug with Google as search engine

When opening Safari (versions 17.4-17.5 but possibly also 17.3) and searching something up as the first website loaded upon opening, reloading before the webpage loads causes the search bar to become blank, when it should just restart loading. This happens on all search engines, although with Google the search is perpetually loading at 10-20%. This bug also inly occurs a few seconds after Safari starts up. I have only encountered this bug on macOS Ventura 13.6.6-13.6.7.
