I was excited to see this demo but unfortunately I can't get it to work. 

On my iPad I open Safari and I go to

For good measure I sign in to Codepen – though I am not sure it matters.

I see a "start recording" text button. I see a "play video" text button.
I see a symbolic "play" button,  a grey circle with a white triangle inside, pointing to the right. 

If I hit the "play" icon button, it looks like a video is going to load, a video box opens, grey background, but it shows 00.00 of -00.00 and does not play. 
There is a pause button in the middle. 
If I hit the pause button it turns to a play button, but nothing else happens.

If I hit the text button "play video" , the video window turns from grey to black and I see a grey play button (right facing arrow), with a line through it, as if to signify (can not play).


If I click "start recording" it does record video and audio (after I allow mic/camera access).
I can "stop recording" and I can hit "play" text button to replay my recording.

However "play video" does not play anything, it continues to fail to load and play anything (I can see in the code the URL of the video it is supposed to play, and that URL does work by itself).
