Appearance of the scroll to text fragment on Safari 17.4.1

I discovered when I was following a link to a steam community guide that on Safari the scroll to text fragment styling wasn't overriding the font color which can result in something nearly unreadable on some sites.

For example, if you navigate to the following link:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?l=german&id=699781872#:~:text=why%20am%20I%20constantly%20losing%20money

On chrome, the text color is changed to black which makes the text easily readable against the highlight color. On Safari, the text color is not changed resulting in very little contrast between the highlight and the text as shown in the attached image.
