I tested with Safari 17.4.1 (18618.1.15.111.8, 18618) and Safari Technology Preview 191 (Safari 17.4, WebKit 18619.1.6.3)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Web_components/Using_shadow_DOM#creating_a_shadow_dom
2. Press "Play" to open the example in the Playground
3. Open the web inspector
4. Click the Search widget
5. Search for "I'm in the shadow DOM"

Expected results: The <span> in the shadow DOM is found.

Actual results: The <span> in the shadow DOM is not found.

See the attached screenshots. The 2 results found are both outside the shadow DOM.
