            Bug ID: 272182
Summary: Data deletion for added-to-Homescreen apps
           Product: WebKit
           Version: WebKit Nightly Build
          Hardware: All
                OS: iOS 17
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Website Storage
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: callionica at callionica.com
                CC: sihui_liu at apple.com

I’ve seen repeated assertions that added-to-Homescreen and added-to-Dock web apps do not have their local data deleted because of non-recent-use. I’ve seen this mentioned here on the bug tracker and in various feature announcements. Can you confirm that you have tests that verify this and would it be possible to see those tests?

My personal experience is that data for added-to-Homescreen web apps on iOS is deleted unexpectedly and I suspect that it’s related to the non-recent-use policy. I’d prefer to validate your tests, rather than try to create repros (having had previous poor experiences opening bugs against Apple products), so if you could point me at the tests, that would be helpful.
