Screenshot of Safari with enabled Portrait camera effect but without any visible effect

On a Mac computer with Apple Silicon, the new camera effect "Portrait" is available and can be used with any camera and application, as stated in this Apple support page (https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/use-video-effects-on-your-mac-mchlff01c919/mac).

It works with any application that I've tested so far, for example with the "Photo Booth" app or even with Google Chrome via WebRTC.

Unfortunately, it does not work with Safari. At least it doesn't show any effect when it is enabled.

I'm using Safari v16.4 on macOS Ventura (v13.3.1) on a MacBook Pro 14-inch 2023 with the Apple M2 Pro chip. I've found this website complaining about the same issue since macOS Monterey (v12) (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/portrait-mode-not-working-in-google-meet-via-safari.2353778/).

On the screenshot and for tests I was using the WebRTC sample "Basic peer connection demo in a single tab" (https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/peerconnection/pc1/) to show the local camera and also the remote video stream with enabled camera effect "Portrait" of my external USB webcam.
