OK, please first make sure you have the latest release of xdg-desktop-portal and xdg-desktop-portal-gnome, because similar problems were fixed recently. Assuming you have the latest release, then you can report a bug to xdg-desktop-portal-gnome because this is not an acceptable user experience.
