Hi, I'm also suffering from a similar/same bug. I found this issue through evolution's page, as I first encountered it in evolution (slow launch, slow message open), but it also happens in eog, evince, firefox, file-roller, and is not necessarily tied to sandboxing.

During the launch of these applications, they hang for 25 seconds evidently at a poll call, and then open properly. I used an LD_PRELOAD-based approach to capture where this poll is in the source code. I'm attaching coredumps/back-traces for eog and evolution, as well as the small program I used to get them.

Please let me know if this helps, if I can test something else, or if the problem I see is not actually related to this issue.
