You can also repro the bug with the web view on its own! Steps:

1. Build and run the project on iPad with trackpad
2. Move the pointer over text in the web view,
3. Two-finger click on the trackpad, showing the context menu
4. Click outside the menu, but on the web view, to dismiss the menu

These symptoms are similar to https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=236390, although the repro steps are different.
