The sample just shows work being done on a timer, which is consistent with the console output. 

I wasn't able to figure out how to play a video on this website - it autoplays ads all over the place, but I'm not sure where any actual content is.

In any case, what is the exact symptom? the title says "hang", but sounds like console is working. Does the UI get unusable as it's overloaded handling the errors?
