With WebKitGTK 2.42.2 on Fedora 39, I ran this:

/usr/libexec/webkitgtk-6.0/MiniBrowser --private https://www.lapresse.ca/voyage/europe/2023-12-12/decouverte-d-une-luxueuse-domus-vieille-de-plus-de-2000-ans.php

After watching the two 15-seconds advertisements (sorry!) before the content video, play the content video.

After a few seconds (at the 19-seconds mark, in my case) it will stop playing and seemingly hang with a spinning ball buffering indicator in the center, while the buffer indicator in the seekbar does not refill. Play/pause button does nothing to fix the issue.

Then, click the seek bar (anywhere in the previous/current position), and the buffer will start downloading and filling again; the video will continue playing until it runs out of buffer again (in my case, at 29 seconds). Rinse, repeat.
