We would also be very keen to see Apple support MSE on iOS.
We develop a product used by broadcasters worldwide, which uses OPUS as a transport format. As Safari has no support for OPUS, we use MSE to decode (and play) this media asynchronously, which works great on macOS and iPadOS. Consequently, short of us developing a native iOS app or pre-transcoding (a potentially very long bit of) audio on device, we have no way of supporting audio for iPhone users.
