Bug ID: 259943
Summary: REGRESSION: On video unpause, the video skips sound on
the first couple of frames
Product: WebKit
Version: Safari Technology Preview
Hardware: Mac (Apple Silicon)
OS: macOS 13
Status: NEW
Severity: Minor
Priority: P2
Component: Media
Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
Reporter: danik.tim at gmail.com
This is especially noticeable when watching the videos on higher speeds (1.5x, 2x, etc.)
When you pause the video and unpause it, the video plays just fine, but there is no sound on the first half a second. Tested on HTML videos, YouTube, and Udemy, so I believe that the problem persists on all videos.
This is a very annoying problem as a couple of words get skipped (for example during an online course) and you are forced to rewind the video to hear the part that played without the sound.
This problem has been on every Safari Technology Preview version that I have used (that is, from version 170)
