Since the time this specification was added. Not to mention the time that has passed since the first ticket was created in relation to this issue. In addition to the number of developers and users asking for this feature, as well as the possibility to use requestFullScreen on a document. I find it shameful and disrespectful from the Safari team to still not have answered. That the team is busy, I can understand it, but to have decided to ignore this problem for several years, no. I can't wait for the European Commission to force Apple to remove the iOS developer requirement that forces web browsers to use this Safari web view garbage. I recognize that the Safari team has worked very well on this new version of iOS (16.4), many bugs have been fixed, and lots of new features have been added. However, answering by indicating that this is "planned" or defining it in the list of features under development or "pending" on the site https://webkit.org/status/ would have been a good start.
