I am unable to reproduce this bug in Safari 16 and similar to all other browsers (Chrome Canary 108 and Firefox Nightly 107), it does not register first click but all subsequent clicks are registered and this behavior is consistent in all browsers.

Since all browsers are working same. I am marking this as "RESOLVED CONFIGURATION CHANGED", assuming it was fixed some time along the way. Thanks!
