The completely unambiguous naming scheme™ would be:

   GTK3 → webkitgtk3-1.0 (or -1.1 with soup3)
   GTK4 → webkitgtk4-1.0
   GTK5 → webkitgtk5-1.0 (when GTK5 is released)
   ...and so on

We cannot change the GTK3 ones, but we can change going forward.
