Bug ID: 248358
Summary: Hide caret when editable element containing caret
doesn't have focus
Product: WebKit
Version: Safari Technology Preview
Hardware: Unspecified
OS: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P2
Component: HTML Editing
Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
Reporter: ahmad.saleem792 at gmail.com

Hi Team,
While going through Chrome Monorail, I came across another failing testcase, where Safari differs from other browsers:
Test Case - https://jsfiddle.net/Lcqkyxvg/show
Blink Commit - https://src.chromium.org/viewvc/blink?view=revision&revision=153317
If we follow the testcase, then it will still show "caret" while both other Chrome Canary 110 and Firefox Nightly 109 will not show "caret" (I-Beam).
Just wanted to raise this bug so we can explore to fix it in future.
Thanks!
