LinkedIn has evolved a lot and Web Standards as well to address these textarea issues though we do have few and still fail few textarea WPT test here and there but I think they would be tracked in other bugs and we don't need to keep old one open without any test case.

I looked into the link of bug from Comment 01 and came across this:

To make it easier for others, I am going to mark this as "RESOLVED WONTFIX" and I think we would be better off tracking textarea expanding bugs in others. Thanks!
