            Bug ID: 247748
Summary: [SOUP] Network requests take very long time to
                    complete
           Product: WebKit
           Version: WebKit Nightly Build
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: WebKitGTK
          Assignee: webkit-unassigned at lists.webkit.org
          Reporter: mcatanzaro at gnome.org

Epiphany

I'm going to attach two screencasts. In the first screencast, I load cnn.com in today's Epiphany Tech Preview and time how long it takes. It needs about 33 seconds to finish loading.

In the second screencast, I load cnn.com in Firefox 106.0.1 and time how long it takes. It mostly finishes loading more or less instantly, almost before I'm able to start the timer, but let's say it required 3 seconds to load. (I accidentally took this screencast with uBlock Origin enabled, which might be a better adblocker than Epiphany's adblocker, but I repeated the test with it disabled and it didn't make much difference.)

So we seem to be 10x slower, which seems excessive. This issue is certainly not limited to cnn.com, but that seems like a good test case to us.
