This is almost to good to be true, but I can confirm this is fixed! I can even pause/stop and then resume the playback from the lockscreen controls when the web app is in the background.

It would be nice if someone would update this ticket (before we find out it's fixed on our own). Are we supposed to check every release for fixes for 3 yr old bugs? (sorry, I have to point that out and can't seem to do it without sounding snarky)
