I am able to reproduce partially this bug where in Safari 15.5 and Chrome Canary 104, the caret is inside [] but if I type something, it is not bold. In Firefox Nightly 103, it is doing as specified of expected result of test case (inside [] and typing bold).

If it is not intended expected results or require spec change, please do accordingly. If my testing is flawed, please retest accordingly. Thanks!
